It’s nice to share, but we can all probably admit that at some point in our lives, we’ve all gotten our hands on a snack that’s just too good to share. Whether it’s a candy bar that “reasonable” people wouldn’t think could be eaten by one person in a sitting, a tray of homemade sweets, or a healthy snack packed with flavor, there was just something about it that made us hesitate when somebody asked us “Can I try some of that?” We wanted to guard that snack by sleeping on top of it like a dragon guards its treasure. At One Green Planet, we understand that feeling.

We understand it so much that we’ve pulled together a list of snacks of all kinds — sweet, savory, salty, healthy, and indulgent — for you to try. No sharing necessary.

1. No-Bake Cookie Butter Bars

The base of these No-Bake Cookie Butter Bars is made with melted cookie butter (cookie butter is a spread made out of crushed spiced biscuits) and graham crackers and it’s topped off with even more cookie butter and melted chocolate. Don’t have cookie butter? No problem! You can substitute your favorite nut or seed butter and the results will still be fabulous.

2. Dill Edamame Snack

As soon as you dipped your first pita chip into this unique Roasted Balsamic Carrot Hummus, you’ll be in love. It’s the perfect balance of those savory, rustic hummus flavors mixed with the slightly sweet, caramelized balsamic carrots. Serve with homemade pita chips, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables.

4. Nut-Butter Stuffed Date Chocolates

These Nut-Butter Stuffed Date Chocolates combine some of the best flavors when it comes to dessert: the sugary goodness of soft Medjool dates, creamy nut butter, and of course, chocolate. Each bite-sized treat has an explosive amount of flavor. Since they’re stuffed with nut butter they can be your go-to sweet snack to stave off hunger.

5. Zucchini Tater Tots

zucchii tater tots

You probably remember tater tots, those coveted (and greasy) pillows of potato-y goodness served at school lunches. This recipe for Zucchini Tater Tots is a healthier take on those and they’re so good, you’ll want to carry them around in your pocket so you can have them all to yourself. It’s as easy as mashing potato and grated zucchini together, forming them into tots, and baking them until golden and crispy.

6. Cinnamon Ginger Snack Bites

These Cinnamon Ginger Snack Bites are made from pumpkin seeds blended with dried fruit and spices to make a snack that’s sticky, sweet, and spicy. These treats are a little sweet, a little spicy, and just the thing to reach for whenever you’re craving a little snack that’s full of flavor. A food processor and six ingredients are all you need to make these, making this an ideal recipe for weekly lunchbox snacks.

7. Quinoa Flax Nachos

Did you know that if you make nacho chips in a healthy way, you can enjoy it every week with absolute no guilt? Yup, that’s right! Take these Quinoa Flax Nacho Chips, for instance. They’re made from nutrient-dense quinoa and chickpea flour, have healthy flax seeds throughout, and are baked instead of fried. Top with avocado and some healthy tomato salsa and there you have it: healthy nachos!

8. Crispy Cauliflower Nuggets

These oven-fried Crispy Cauliflower Nuggets are guaranteed to be the star of your dinner night, snacktime, parties … everything! The secret is to cook flour covered cauliflower slowly in coconut oil. The slow oven baking helps to crisp up the outside without having undercooked cauliflower.

If you don’t have time to bake a cake, then this recipe is here for you. It’s a magical combination of toasty-nuttiness that satisfies your craving for cake in a pinch.

11. Coco-Choc Bounty Tarts

These delicious little Coco-Choc Bounty Tarts are inspired by, you guessed it — Bounty bars — a beloved chocolate covered coconut candy. It’s clear why everyone loves them so much, the combination of chocolate and coconut is insanely scrumptious! With the added sweet nutty base, these tarts are like the average Bounty bars (minus the bad stuff, loaded with good stuff) and taken to a whole other level! Keep them stored in the refrigerator for late night snacking.

12. Jelly Dough-Not Holes
