For the oven, you can’t go wrong with Rachel’s Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Why Our Recipe

  • Our tried and true recipe made in the air fryer with a 6-minute bake time making it easy to indulge whenever the craving hits.
  • Make a quick batch of cookies and eat the whole batch or save the rest for individual indulgences later. We won’t judge.

Want a quick sweet treat without making a whole batch? Just throw a few balls of dough into the air fryer and you have the perfect amount of sweet indulgence without the time commitment. You get warm, homemade chocolate chip cookies in 5 minutes without making a dozen or more—the perfect amount if you’re only cooking for two or just want a treat for yourself!

Ingredient Notes

Chocolate chip air fryer cookies ingredients.
  • Butter: Unsalted butter can be used, but add an extra pinch of salt to the dough. Make sure it’s softened for easy creaming.
  • Brown Sugar: Light or dark brown sugar works, though dark brown sugar will give a deeper flavor.
  • Granulated Sugar: Balances the sweetness and helps the cookies achieve lightly crisp edges.
  • Vanilla Extract: Pure vanilla extract gives the best flavor, but imitation vanilla also works.
  • Eggs: Use large eggs at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • All-Purpose Flour: Stick with regular all-purpose flour for this one. Bread flour can also work.
  • Baking Powder & Baking Soda: Check the expiration date to ensure proper leavening.

Chocolate Chip Options

The type of chocolate chips you use is a matter of personal preference. Both semi sweet and milk chocolate chips will work in this recipe, or you can use a combination of both. You can also use chocolate chunks or even white chocolate chips!

Air Fryer Tips

Air fryers are my favorite hack for quick and easy meals and now, homemade cookies! Use these tips to ensure perfectly baked cookies and with easy clean-up, too!

Use a Liner: We use vented parchment liners, which prevent the cookies from sticking to the bottom of the air fryer basket. Make sure to use a vented air fryer liner to allow the air to circulate, allowing the cookies to bake evenly.

Avoid Overcrowding: We suggest you bake no more than 4 cookies at at time for a standard, 6 quart basket. For a smaller, 3-4 quart basket, we recommend 2-3 cookies. You will need about an inch of spacing between cookies.

Monitor Cook Time Closely: Air fryers cook quickly, so keep an eye on your food, especially during the final minutes of cooking. If you prefer slightly doughier cookies, bake for 4-5 minutes.

Make-Ahead Option

This recipe is perfect if you want to quickly make the dough and save it for baking either the next morning or later down the road when your cookie craving hits!

Want a little, not a lot? Make a few cookies in the air fryer for a quick treat and then save the rest of the dough in the refrigerator for later. When you’re ready for more, shape refrigerated cookie dough into balls and bake in the air fryer for 5-6 minutes.

This cookie dough can also easily be frozen. For best results, shape into balls and freeze on a baking sheet. Once frozen, transfer to a resealable plastic freezer bag for long term storage, up to 3 months. When ready to bake, place frozen cookie dough in the air fryer and bake for 7-8 minutes.

Storage and Reheating Instructions

Store completely cooled cookies in an airtight container on the counter. Cookies stay fresh for 3 to 5 days.

Freeze the individual balls of dough for up to 3 months. When ready to bake, place frozen cookie dough balls in the air fryer and bake for 7-8 minutes.

Crispy Baked Chicken Parmesan – The Stay At Home Chef
What’s a humble village breakfast without a hearty serving of crispy fried goat balls, served alongside some scrambled eggs? In this recipe, we’ll learn how to prepare these tender morsels, a staple in many rural communities. The dish is surprisingly simple to make, and the end result is well worth the effort – just like our grandmothers used to make. The main ingredient, of course, is goat testicles, also known as lamb’s fries or sweetbreads. These are essentially the reproductive organs of male goats, which are considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. They have a unique flavor and texture that’s hard to describe – imagine a cross between scallops and chicken liver, with a hint of sweetness. To start, you’ll need two goat testicles, cleaned and trimmed of any excess fat or connective tissue. You can either buy these at your local butcher shop or obtain them directly from the farmer who raised the goats. Once you have them, it’s time to get cooking! Here’s how to prepare the goat balls: 1. Cut the testicles into small pieces, about 1 inch in size. 2. In a large bowl, mix together some flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 3. Dredge the goat pieces through the flour mixture, making sure they’re evenly coated. 4. Heat some oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. When it’s hot, add the coated goat pieces and fry until golden brown – about 5 minutes per batch. 5. Remove the fried goat balls from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Now that your goat balls are cooked, it’s time to serve them up! Here’s how: 1. Serve the crispy fried goat balls alongside some scrambled eggs, maybe with a dash of hot sauce for added flavor. 2. You can also add some toast or hash browns on the side for a more filling breakfast. That’s it – your very own traditional goat balls recipe! This dish is perfect for any occasion when you want to impress your friends and family with a unique and delicious meal. So go ahead, give it a try, and enjoy the delightful taste of goat testicles in all their crispy fried glory.
