Keto Cheese Sticks with Sesame and Cheese

They are also great snacks. Because the ingredients in it make you feel full for a long time. Since each serving of these twists contains 19g of fat, they’ll help you reach your daily fat target.

You also never forget the taste of them and will want to bake them again and again. Note that despite all that amazing carb-like flavor, they’ll only add 219 calories.

You Can Make Additions to Keto Cheese Sticks

Keto cheese sticks are quite original, perfect enough, and delicious, as the recipe is written above. But this recipe offers as many possibilities as possible for those who want to make a difference.

How Does? Choose the ingredients you love and make sure they’re keto friendly. The ideal time to add ingredients is before kneading the dough.

At that point, you can add some bacon to this dough. Or you can mix cheeses, not limited to mozzarella while melting cheeses. For taste, the best accompaniments are a mixture of mozzarella, white cheddar cheese, and some parmesan.

Ingredients

  • Coconut flour (2 tbsp)
  • Almond flour (5 tbsp)
  • Pesto sauce (2 tbsp)
  • Mozarella (1 cup, shredded)
  • Butter (2 tbsp)
  • Egg (1 whole + 1 egg yolk)
  • Sesame seeds (1 tbsp)
  • Baking powder (1/2 tsp)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by getting a deep, microwave-safe bowl. Put the shredded mozzarella in the bowl, then add the butter. Melt the cheese and butter together in the microwave.
  2. Mix the melted cheese and butter well. Add both flours to it, then add 1 whole egg, baking soda, and salt. Mix well and knead the mixture until it has a dough texture. Transfer it to a clean kitchen counter and roll it out with a rolling pin. Spread 2 tbsp of pesto sauce evenly on the upper surface of the dough with the help of a brush.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C / 356°F.
  4. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Slice the dough lengthwise at 2cm intervals with a knife. Twist each dough slice lengthwise. Arrange the mozzarella twists on the baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp of sesame seeds. Apply the egg-sesame mixture on the mozzarella sticks with a brush.
  6. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, ensuring controlled baking.

Notes

When slicing the dough, you should get approximately 10 slices with these measurements. Since this recipe serves 5 people, one serving of mozzarella twist equals 2 twists.

The thickness of the dough should be 1/2 cm, and you can adjust its size to about 8 inches.
