Fruity Pebble Rice Krispy Treats Recipe
I almost feel guilty about posting this recipe. Almost. I mean, it’s not revolutionary. It’s not challenging. It might even seem a bit…*ahem…boring. I understand. BUT. I will tell you of ALL THE THINGS I make. I mean ALL of them. This no bake dessert is actually the most requested thing I make in my real life.
If I am asked to bring something to a party…these are what people want. And I don’t just mean kids. You guys know my love affair with Fruity Pebbles…and my long standing marriage to Krispie Treats has been well documented here on this website. So let’s bring the boyfriend into meet the husband. I feel like it might be an arrangement that works for everyone.
Tips For Making The Best Rice Krispie Treats
- The trick for this cereal treat is getting the perfect ratio of Fruity Pebbles to Rice Krispies. The magic happens in the balance. Too many Fruity Pebbles your treats get too sweet, too few, well…it’s just not enough!
- Next up the exact right amount of marshmallows. I used my Perfect Krispie Treat recipe as the guide because, well, they’re perfect. If you aren’t familiar with that recipe, go ahead and hop over and print it out. You’ll need to commit that one to memory forevermore bc it’s the last krispie treat recipe you’ll ever need.
- A little pinch of salt! It might seem weird, but it’s all about that balance. It really makes a difference!

How to Make Fruity Pebble Rice Krispie Treats
Like I said, it’s all about the Pebble to Krispie ratio. I go with 2/3 Krispies and 1/3 Pebbles. Sounds a little Pebbles light, doesn’t it? Do NOT worry. I promise you it’s the right call.
- Line a 9×9 pan with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a large pot over low heat melt butter. Once butter in melted add in 8 cups mini marshmallows, stirring constantly.
- Once the marshmallows are just melted remove from heat and stir both cereals and salt until just coated in the melted marshmallow mixture. Now stir in the remaining 2 cups of mini marshmallows.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan and press in evenly.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares. Best if served same day.
I’m telling you, these are freaking ridiculous.
Wait until they cool to cut them into squares. It doesn’t take long.
And enjoy the fruity twist on classic rice krispie treats! They will be gone quick!
You can increase this recipe by 1/2 and make them in a 9×13 pan if you would like to feed a larger crowd!
