For this earthy, herbal delight:

1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, soy, or coconut)
2 teaspoons loose-leaf black tea
1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Two teaspoons of loose-leaf black tea
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves or 1 1/2 teaspoons of finely minced fresh sage
  • Approximately 1 to 1.5 cups of filtered water
  • scant teaspoon cashew butter
  • sweetener to taste

Brewing a rich and comforting sage and black tea latte without dairy is a breeze.

  1. Steep your tea leaves and a pinch of sage in 1 to 1 1/2 cups of freshly boiled and filtered water. Steep for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together harmoniously. Don’t allow the tea leaves to steep for too long, as black tea can quickly become overpoweringly bitter.
