Go on and name a salad that is more universally loved than a classic Caesar salad. Crisply fresh Romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, a hint of sunshiney lemon, salty Parmesan cheese, and garlicky croutons all help make one of the best-known salads legendary.

Classic Caesar Salad

All by itself, Caesar salad has enduring appeal because of the simplicity of assembly and its flavor packed dressing. It can accompany just about any main dish with aplomb.

But if you add a few pieces of air fried crispy chicken or leftover Crispy Italian Oven Chicken pulled from the bone-as I so often do- it becomes a meal! You can enjoy this combo for a lunch that will keep you satisfied without making you feel like you need a long winter’s nap afterward!

You can purchase excellent Caesar salad worthy croutons at many grocery stores, but if you want to really gild the lily, try out these homemade torn croutons.

Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing

Likewise, there are a great many good Caesar dressings at the store, but there’s nothing quite like homemade creamy Caesar salad dressing. The freshness is incomparable and you can adjust the seasonings according to your own personal preferences.

Salads are one of the all-time most versatile meals you can make, and salad can also be a one-dish meal with the potential to cover all the basic food groups. When I figured out How to Eat Salad Every Day (and actually like it!) a few years ago, it was a bit of a game-changer.

Another game-changing salad for me is the BLT Salad. It is fully loaded with crunchy romaine lettuce, sweet tomatoes and fresh corn, salty bacon, rich and creamy avocado slices, cubed cheddar cheese, crunchy croutons, and the perfect ranch dressing.

Why Savoring Squash Blossoms Should Be a Summer Staple? While squash blossoms are often overlooked in favor of their more famous cousins, the fruits they eventually produce, these delicate flowers pack a flavor punch that’s sure to delight. Here, we’ll delve into the world of squash blossoms and explore the reasons why you should be enjoying them this summer. But first, let’s start with the basics: what are squash blossoms, exactly? In short, they’re the edible flowers that grow on various types of squash, including zucchini, yellow crookneck, and acorn squash. They have a delicate, almost ethereal quality to them, with a subtle sweetness that makes them a perfect addition to a wide range of dishes. So why should you be enjoying squash blossoms this summer? For starters, they’re incredibly versatile – stuff them with cheese or herbs for an impromptu appetizer, sauté them with garlic and olive oil as a side dish, or add them to soups and salads for a burst of flavor. And let’s not forget their impressive nutritional profile: squash blossoms are rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as potassium and fiber. But beyond their practical uses, squash blossoms also hold a certain romantic charm – imagine strolling through a lush garden on a warm summer evening, the scent of blooming flowers filling the air as you pluck the delicate buds from the vine. It’s an experience that’s equal parts nostalgic and indulgent. So how do you go about enjoying squash blossoms? Here are a few simple tips to get you started: * Harvest them in the early morning or late evening, when they’re at their freshest. * Rinse them gently with cold water to remove any dirt or debris. * Stuff them with your favorite fillings – ricotta and parmesan work particularly well – and drizzle with olive oil for a simple but elegant appetizer. In short, squash blossoms are the perfect summer treat: flavorful, nutritious, and steeped in romance. So why not give them a try? Your taste buds (and your sense of adventure) will thank you!
