People celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a lot of different ways. Many people attend the parades, festivities, don their best green outfits, and search for shamrocks. However way you plan to celebrate, there’s certainly one thing that’s important – the food! 1. Almond, Raisin, and Basil Soda Bread

Unlike yeast breads, soda breads rely on baking soda for leavening and there’s no kneading involved, making it a fast and easy-to-make bread. The exterior of this Almond, Raisin, and Basil Soda Bread is crusty but the inside is slightly moist. This recipe is flavored with almonds, raisins, and basil, giving it an herby and nutty flavor but feel free to get creative with rosemary, thyme, or any other spices you like in bread. What a classic beauty.

Beer and mushrooms are an inspirational combination any day of the year and these Beer Butter Mushrooms are the perfect building block for pretty much anything else you want to do in the kitchen. 4. Creamy Potato Leek Soup

Need something warm after a long hard day of celebrating? Here is a quick and easy recipe for a Creamy Potato Leek Soup, that is healthy, filling and can be done in just about 30 minutes!
5. Raw Mint Chocolate Cake

Chocolate and mint are a much-loved combination and this Cake is decadent and rich, yet still light and luscious. If you cannot find fresh coconut meat, you can substitute for more cashews, but the coconut meat does create a really silky texture. Look at that beautiful green!
6. Whisky Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Get your grill ready for these Portobello Mushroom Burgers! The smoky whisky marinade, full of warm spices, makes these burgers perfect for any time of the year. They’re served alongside some grilled peppers and tucked into seeded rolls with mixed baby leaves, avocado, and a drizzle of light tahini.
7. Bailey’s Waffles With Whipped Cream

These boozy Bailey’s Waffles With Whipped Cream are made from a tasty mixture of chestnut and rice flour. Chestnut flour contributes with a mild and delicious nutmeg-like flavor, where the rice flour gives fluffiness to the waffles. Delicious! And yes, we have vegan options for Bailey’s now!
8. Gooey Marshmallow and Chocolate Bourbon Sweet Potato Pop Tarts

The main ingredients in these deliciously boozy Gooey Marshmallow and Chocolate Bourbon Sweet Potato Pop Tarts are flour, coconut oil, sweet potato, marshmallows, and chocolate. Pantry/optional items include bourbon, spices, sugar, salt, and water.
9. Irish ‘Lamb’ Stew

The TVP in this Irish ‘Lamb’ Stew gives the stew a big protein boost, making it pretty much a meal in itself with all the veggies in there like potatoes and carrots and mushrooms. You can serve it with some crusty bread or some rice or, in true Irish style, with a side of potatoes and cabbage. Perfect after celebrating in the cold outside for hours.
10. Irish Vegetable Lager Stew

This hearty Irish Vegetable Lager Stew is packed with tons of umami flavor thanks to the rich flavors of mushrooms, miso, and tomato paste. But what makes this meal special is a generous glug of lager! Cheers to that!
11. Chocolate Stout Cake

Even if you’re not a fan of beer or stout, you will love this Chocolate Cake. It’s chocolate cake. The richness of the stout brings out the deep chocolate flavor. Vegan stouts can be hard to find, but they’re out there!
12. Cheezy Spiced Kale Chips

Green snacks? We got you. This recipe is for raw kale chips, using a dehydrator. However if you do not have a dehydrator there are easy steps to make them in your oven. These chips are so much cheaper than the store-bought version! Make these at home for a cheezy, crispy treat!
13. Fala Jala Hummus

This dish takes all of your favorite flavors from falafel (hence the fala) and adds in the fiery spice of jalapeños (hence the jala) to make a Fala Jala Hummus that is incredibly delicious and beautiful to boot. And green! Plus, this recipe is easy to make and will go over great at any event you decide to set it out at. But be forewarned – It’s spicy.
14. Chia and Fennel Green Pizza With Kale Pesto and Hummus

Take your pizza-making skills to the next level with this delicious and unique Chia and Fennel Green Pizza, built on a foundation of cauliflower crust and topped with delicious veggies like zucchini and grilled, marinated artichokes. Put some kale pesto and hummus on there, and you got yourselves a winner!
