The event marks a significant moment in the culinary world as both restaurants are celebrated for their exceptional achievements. SingleThread, based in Healdsburg, is currently ranked No. 46 on the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. This accolade complements its esteemed three-Michelin-star status. The restaurant is renowned for its innovative approach to farm-to-table dining, utilizing produce from its own farm and local Sonoma County suppliers.

Meanwhile, Eleven Madison Park in New York City has also garnered extensive recognition. In 2017, it was awarded the No. 1 position on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Since its reopening in 2021, Eleven Madison Park has embraced a fully plant-based menu, maintaining its three-star Michelin rating. Chef Daniel Humm’s visionary shift to vegan cuisine has been widely praised, positioning the restaurant as a leader in sustainable dining.

The collaboration between these culinary powerhouses promises a harmonious blend of their distinctive styles. The fully plant-based menu highlights the rich flavors and diverse produce available in Sonoma County, showcasing the chefs’ commitment to sustainability and innovation in the kitchen.

Diners attending this exclusive event can expect to pay $485 per person, with an optional wine pairing available starting at $300. Reservations for the limited seating can be made through Tock, ensuring that those fortunate enough to secure a spot will experience a truly exceptional evening.

This collaboration is more than just a dining event; it represents a movement towards sustainable, plant-based cuisine at the highest levels of culinary excellence. As more top-tier chefs embrace plant-based menus, the future of fine dining looks set to become greener and more innovative, offering diners delicious experiences that are also kind to the planet.

Can you believe that a simple mixture of cooked walnuts, oats, and spices can create the most convincing taco “meat” substitute? The best part is that it’s completely plant-based, so you don’t have to worry about sacrificing flavor or texture. To make this game-changing vegan alternative, simply cook 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil until they’re lightly toasted and fragrant. Next, add 1/4 cup of rolled oats, 1 minced onion, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, salt to taste, and a pinch of black pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is lightly browned and has a nutty aroma. Now it’s time to add some moisture to this walnut taco “meat”. Simply stir in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste and 1 tablespoon of water, then season with a squeeze of lime juice and a sprinkle of cilantro.
Protein powder does expire, but the expiration date may vary depending on the type of protein and manufacturer. Generally, whey protein and casein protein powders have a shorter shelf life than plant-based options like pea or rice protein.
