Get ready to meet your new favorite brownie! Peanut Butter Crunch Brownies have a traditional chocolate brownie base, then wow you with a layer of peanut butter, Rice Krispies and even more chocolate!
Watch out everyone, because Peanut Butter Crunch Brownies are here! They start out innocently enough with a delicious brownie base, but do not be fooled, these are no ordinary brownie. There are a lot of flavors and textures going on here, and once you layer the peanut butter and melted chocolate with rice krispie cereal, you won’t be able to contain yourself. We are smitten over these brownies, and you will be too!
This recipe comes together quicker and easier than you would expect. Brownies are one of those tried and true easy desserts that we all hate to love because you can’t just stop at one. All manners go out the window when making brownies: licking the beaters? Check. We don’t judge. Especially once you spread on the peanut butter and toppings, we go a little nuts over these. Whip up a batch for your next party or get together, and watch them disappear faster than you can say “save me one!”

How do I know when the brownies are ready to pull out of the oven?
All ovens run a bit different. Some are hotter than others, and a strict time limit is not always enough to know when they’re ready. Brownies are done when they are just beginning to pull away from the sides of the pan. You can also jiggle the pan a bit: if the brownies jiggle, they’re not ready. Wait until the brownies are set. Lastly, you can use the tried and true test with a toothpick. Stick a toothpick into the middle, if it comes out clean, they’re ready.

What’s the difference between baking chocolate and chocolate chips?
Baking chocolate is in a bar shape and melts easily. Its sole purpose is to use in baking. Chocolate chips are sometimes used just to eat and sometimes baked with, but are made to keep their shape, and do not melt quite as well as baking chocolate. So long as you’re using semi sweet chocolate chips, the two can be used interchangeably the majority of the time.

Can I use a different nut butter due to allergies?
Of course. Our only recommendation is to use a creamy nut butter that you already know and love.
