You know it’s summertime when you want to do nothing but sit by the pool, sipping a refreshing drink out of reusable straw, and browsing through your phone at Instagram, looking for inspiration. However, it’s time to make summer even more epic! We went through the Food Monster App and found 5 boozy recipes for you to try.

Contents
1. Rich, Flavorful, and Crispy Tequila-Battered Chiles Rellenos 2. Bloody Marias Made With Infused Tequila Get the Summer Cookbook!3. Margarita Ice Cream4. Chia Margarita 5. Ginger Lime Kombucharita

1. Rich, Flavorful, and Crispy Tequila-Battered Chiles Rellenos

Rich, flavorful, and wrapped in a crispy batter, these Chiles Rellenos are so delectable they could have come from that amazing 24-hour taco place you used to frequent at 4 AM in college. But, have no fear, they won’t make you regret your decision the next day. These tasty little guys are 100% vegan, free of heavily processed foods and artificial substitutes, and showcase fresh produce. The recipe is admittedly a bit involved, but, trust me, it’s worth it. (And no one will ever guess it’s vegan!)

2. Bloody Marias Made With Infused Tequila

Think of these Bloody Marias as gazpacho: cool and refreshing, with spicy undertones. Now put that idea into liquid form, minus the vegetables of course. With infused tequila, this version gets an extra-tasty kick.

Get the Summer Cookbook!

SUMMER: Stunning Plant-Based Recipes to Enjoy All Season When the Sun’s Out is the only cookbook you need this summer! This cookbook will be your savior this summer. You can now enjoy your mouth-watering meals without spending hours prepping in a hot kitchen. With 75 plant-based, refreshing recipes featuring classic summer flavors, this will be your guide to breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, with some cooling indulgences! You’ll also find plenty of BBQ and grill recipes that are guaranteed to impress everyone at your next summer barbeque outing! This cookbook features recipes like BBQ Chickpea Sliders with Pineapple Slaw, Watermelon Salad with Fried Tofu and Basil-Lime Dressing, Dragon Fruit Lemonade Frappé, and a Nectarine and Mango Summer Tart that will make your summer a memorable one!

3. Margarita Ice Cream

Skip the usual chocolate and vanilla this time and opt for an unforgettable treat: Margarita Ice Cream! This drink-inspired dessert is served in a salt-rimmed glass and garnished with a slice of lime for the full sweet, salty, and tart experience of the cocktail. Since alcohol and salt are the two main ingredients in a margarita and also happen to melt ice cream, an orange extract is used instead of triple sec so the tequila, flavor, and creaminess needn’t be diluted.

4. Chia Margarita

A “chia fresca” is a Mexican beverage, which classically uses lemon or citrus juice in combination with plant-based powerhouse chia to make a refreshing drink. Chia seeds – a superfood known primarily for their miraculously high Omega 3 content – absorb about 9 times their weight when soaked in water, forming miniature balls that are playful on the tongue. Combining the idea of a chia fresca with another Mexican specialty, tequila, is a true food destiny, and a deliciously fun new way to make a Chia Margarita (and add a little nutrition.)

5. Ginger Lime Kombucharita

This is an updated version of the classic Mexican cocktail – the margarita. Presenting the Ginger Lime Kombucharita! The base of tequila, lime, and triple sec remains the same but the beverage is augmented with ginger kombucha, which provides a slight tang of fermentation and the spicy notes of ginger on the back end of the drink give it more depth and complexity than its predecessor. It’s the perfect warm-weather beverage to enjoy with a friend.
